Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how the iOS app KATORGA (the "app"), operated by Zordon Intelligence sp. z o.o., handles your data. The rule is simple: your training data stays on your iPhone. There is no account, no server we run, no analytics, and no advertising.
1. Who we are

2. Data stored on your device
Everything you create in the app is stored locally on your iPhone in an on-device database (Apple SwiftData):
- workout history — exercises, sets, reps, weights, duration, notes;
- your custom workout templates;
- favourite exercises and app settings (language, units, rest timer defaults).
This data is never uploaded to us. We do not operate a back-end, and we cannot read your workouts.
3. Widget, Live Activity and App Group
So that the Home Screen widget and the rest-timer Live Activity can show your current state, the app writes a small summary (streak, today's workout, timer state) to a shared container on the same device (group.com.zordon.katorga). This container is private to the app and its extension on your iPhone; nothing is sent anywhere.
4. Exercise animations (network access)
Exercise animations are downloaded on demand from GitHub (raw.githubusercontent.com) and then cached in the app's Documents folder, so they work offline afterwards. Like any download, this means GitHub sees the standard technical request data (your IP address and the file requested). No personal data, identifier or workout content is sent. GitHub's own privacy statement applies to those requests.
5. Notifications
The rest timer can show a local notification when your break is over. Notifications are scheduled on your device and are only used after you grant permission in the system prompt. You can turn them off at any time in Settings → Notifications → KATORGA.
6. Purchases (KATORGA Premium)
Premium subscriptions (and the lifetime unlock, when offered) are sold through Apple's App Store and processed by Apple using StoreKit. We never see or store your payment details. From Apple we only receive the standard purchase confirmation that tells the app whether Premium is active for your Apple Account. Apple's own privacy policy governs the payment itself. You can restore purchases at any time in the app (Settings → Restore purchases).
7. Backup export and share cards
Two features let data leave the app, and both are started by you:
- Backup export (Premium) writes a JSON file with your training data and hands it to the iOS share sheet, so you choose the destination (Files, iCloud Drive, another app). We are not involved in that transfer.
- Share cards (Premium) render a workout summary image on your device. It is shared only if you pick a destination in the share sheet.
Import of a backup reads a file you select and writes it into the local database.
8. What we do not do
- No account, login or email collection.
- No analytics, crash-reporting or tracking SDKs, and no advertising identifiers (IDFA).
- No App Tracking Transparency prompt — we do not track you across apps or websites.
- No selling or sharing of personal data, because we hold none.
- No HealthKit, location, contacts, camera or microphone access.
9. Website (katorga.fit)
This website uses no cookies and does not profile visitors. We use Vercel Web Analytics — aggregate, cookieless page-view statistics (no personal identifiers, no cross-site tracking) — to understand which sections of the page are useful. We do not sell this data or share it with third parties for marketing. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in maintaining and improving the website.
10. Children
The app is a general fitness tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect any personal data from anyone, including children.
11. Your rights (GDPR)
Because the app stores your data only on your device and we have no access to it, there is nothing for us to export, correct or erase on your behalf. You stay in full control:
- Access / portability: Premium backup export gives you a JSON copy of your data.
- Erasure: delete a workout in the app, or delete the app itself — iOS removes all of its stored data.
If you have any question about data protection, write to hi@zordonintelligence.pl. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority (in Poland: UODO).
12. Changes to this policy
If the app gains a feature that changes how data is handled, we will update this page and the date above before that version ships.
